As promised, this past weekend in Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow was very busy!
I started out the weekend with a DELICIOUS dinner at the new Sweet Grass Grill with my husband. The food was just awesome - full of flavor, fresh and beautifully presented.
On Saturday, I helped out as AYSO registered soccer players and volunteers for next fall and spring. TNT Baseball and Softball had their annual photo day and Wolfpack Football registered thier players ALL at WI where AYSO teams practiced on the fields.
Patriots' Park was the site of the 2nd Annual Rotary Duck Derby and the YMCA's Healthy Kids' Day. The poor folks in the duck costumes roasted (!) but the events were enjoyed by all in attendance. There was food, the YMCA Dancers, vendors, bouncy castles, and the local fire houses provided the man power and the water to make Andre Brook a beautiful route for the yellow rubber duckies to race. Folks young and old enjoyed the unusually warm day and fun activities, and hopefully the Y and the Rotary raised money for all that they do for the community.
Also, Warner Library had its semi-annual book sale on Saturday and Sunday, and there was a Hispanic Health Fair that was very well attended on Saturday at John Paulding School. The SHHS Football team sponsored a car wash at the HS.
Morse was the site of the gently used clothing and sports equipment sale. I did not attend, but imagine it was well received.
I sure hope you were able to enjoy our beautiful villages this past weekend. Perhaps you did some yard work and gardening! I sure did!!!
