The Random Farms Kids Theater's teen company- The Edge - presents Bat Boy: The Musical. Based on a cover story in The Weekly World News (which generated the newspaper's second-highest ever sales figures), Bat Boy is a musical comedy/horror show about a human-like creature discovered in a cave near Hope Falls, West Virginia. With a score by Laurence O'Keefe, the composer of Legally Blonde, Bat Boy played on London's West End before opening off-Broadway in 2001. The play developed a cult following, similar to shows like Rocky Horror and Zombie Prom.
