Warner Library's Cruise on the Hudson JULY 11

GET ON BOARD WITH WARNER LIBRARY’S SECOND ANNUAL DISCOVERY & ADVENTURE CRUISE UP THE HUDSON – WITH PIRATES!

What could be more lovely than being on a boat on the Hudson River as the sun sets over the Palisades? Add a warm breeze, a cool cocktail, a gourmet dinner and dancing and you have yourself the perfect summer evening affair! On July 11, from 7-10 p.m. help support the Warner Library for our second annual Fundraising Cruise by climbing aboard the River Rose, a New Orleans-style paddleboat, as we take 150 adventure-seeking guests up the Hudson River for a three-hour boating adventure.

This year, our theme is Discovery & Adventure, and our guests will enjoy international appetizers by Mint, gourmet Box Dinners by Chiboust, full open bar, dancing, Tarot Card Readings, hand-drawn temporaryTattoos, a Massage Station provided by Oasis Spa in Dobbs Ferry, and a surly Pirate and his Wench (meant in the nicest of way). The evening will also include a Silent Auction featuring such items as A Night’s Stay & Breakfast for Two at the Westchester Renaissance Hotel, A Family Membership at the Tarrytown YMCA, Kayaking for Two on the Hudson, a Weeks Stay at a lovely apartment in Mexico, and much more.

This year’s event will honor JoAnne Murray, whose generous volunteer efforts on behalf of the villages of Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow have spanned over 25 years. JoAnne is a co-owner of Allan Block Insurance Agency in Tarrytown.

Funds raised through the 2009 Cruise will be applied to the library’s Capital Campaign, which has already seen the completion of a historic restoration of the library’s entry vestibule, circulation area, and new Audubon Room, including the restoration of the original chandeliers and glass-paned ceiling oculus and moving forward will help to update and improve the library’s Reference Area.

To purchase tickets, or for additional information about the event, or to inquire about sponsorship opportunities, please call Jenifer Ross at 914-862-1754, or email her at jross.warnerlibrary@gmail.com.

Space on the boat is limited to 150 guests, and tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis. Tickets are $150 per person and include all of the on-board food, beverages and attractions. We hope you will join us for this memorable journey up the Hudson River.
